[THIS IS OLD.....THINGS HAVE CHANGED SO FAST, I WILL WRITE MORE....SOON]I post this today not as a flame, but as a complete criticism.
I have been with the SWGemu project for a long time. Back when few actually knew about the project...back in the days of 7h3 7ru7h. I do not want fame or anything so I will stop talking about that there. There have been many people that have came in even recent days that have been far more productive than myself.
I write this today because I am disheartened and confused about what the SWGemu project is doing, and where exactly is it going. The project has been to hell and back many times since the beginning. Originally the project was not even to be, it was a nice joke of a thought 7ru7h expressed to people he knew. Now enough about the past, the time is now.
First of all I must state that the community has turned into a complete pile of crap. The utter butt-kissing and ass hole attitudes sway away new members of a community in unbelievable amounts. The ass kissing part does not bother me as I understand what the developers go through and they need all the support they can get. By a few people here and there kissing their asses it really helps them continue with great strides. What bothers me is how the community is, like said, a big 'ol pile of crap. Ever since Ultyma released the video it seems that the community has gone down hill. This was also the time that the developers had to deal with many ignorant people as well (so a lil +1 rep for them.)
Next the main community leaders are very similar to the community they moderate. I shall hold Audune exempt from this one as I find him to be a pretty cool guy. He was extremely nice and such before he became a mod, but now I think the power goes to his head, and I do not blame him as well. He has to deal with a lot during his day-to-day duties as a lead moderator. The main problems are with Solen and BigSwifty. I do not wish to highly critizise these two great members of the SWGemu moderating team. But, I do believe they need to learn how to control things and when to just let things go. It is not so much of a problem with Solen as it is with BigSwifty. I have noticed it seems BigSwifty goes on power hungry rants quite a bit on the forums, while Solen is mostly laid back. The only problems Solen has seems to be on IRC. I must say I do miss Aeludor, even though I have argued with him quite a bit and also the fact that he was very strict. The main point is, the leaders of the crap community are really crap themselves. They have to be strict sometimes, but the crap they pull is not justified to any point at all. This is a major problem which needs to be addressed. I know anything the moderating team does is separate from the dev team, but in all its all related to the SWGemu project.
This seems to be going no where...so I will try to explain this more into why all this information matters.
The next problem seems to be how the developer team manages themselves. I love the dev team to their entirety, but there is no excuse for some of the crap they try to pull off. Ramsey is exempt from this as well as he has always been straight forward and very understanding. In this area the main problems seem to be with Ultyma and Antman. The actions that have been taken recently by Ultyma seem to be somewhat childish and really unnecessary. The truth is yes you should fight back sometimes, but the way Ultyma does it does not seem moraly correct. I know that some of these other teams such as VBemu, CUemu, NE...etc have said their own share of inappropriate things, but I do not think that ranting back at them really justifies anything.

The crying and whining over code stealing and suspection is quite odd as well. I understand though that if someone stole my code and claimed it as their own...I would be pissed too. But, people such as Ultyma and such seem to jump to conclusions to easily and really do not understand what they have done.
Also, the comments I recently seen in irc with Ultyma expressing that he does not help his enemies, but destroy them is quite idiotic as well. I do not exactly know where I am going with this, but it should show some points.
With Antman the problem is that there seems to be minor delays...and I understand writing code is tough within itself, and having other people work on your code is annoying too. What I have seen though is Antman does not wish to share anything and it seems that the community greatly amazed when Antman has expressed he has done something when really Antman has not done much at all.
The people I have the most respect for on the team since the beginning is: Ramsey, Xeno, Berix, TheAnswer and actually Joker. Now when I say Joker, I do not mean I respect him now nor do I approve of what he has done by screwing the team and the community over, what I respect is how well he acted and such in the old days. Before the recent events.
All in all this has gone no where, but is just a small hint of how the community and the actually team surrounding SWGemu has turned into crap, and things need to change now before it is over.
I know this will seem stupid and offensive to some people, but you must understand these things mentioned are the truth and all in all this has just been a slight glimpse of all the crap that has happened recently.
That is it, I really have nothing else to say...but before everyone who has read this and thought "WTF, this guy is a loser...gtfo!" I suggest hanging around with the people who are complete fan boys of the SWGemu team, then hang around the people who completely hate them. This will help you understand the issues that are occurring with the SWGemu project and may even give you ideas on how to save the project.
